The Fresno Mission is a non-profit organization in the Central Valley, offering 24 Hr. Emergency help to the homeless and others in need. Their mission – to provide Christ-centered support and hope, empowering people to move forward positively in all areas of life. They offer various programs and services to those who need them, including food, shelter, protective services, vocational training, and job placement.
The new logo pays homage to the original Fresno Rescue Mission Imagery and Color Palette, but with a modern spin. Fresno Mission seeks to be a beacon of light in dark places, keeping the doors open for those in need. The arching rainbow over the door symbolizes God’s promise of grace and hope – it is the calm after the storm.
Simple designs are timeless, making a logo that lasts for many years a good investment. That’s why we chose to create a logo that would endure.
As the needs of the communities changed, Fresno Rescue Mission partnered with Butler Branding to create a new brand identity and strategy. Through an in-depth collaborative discovery process, we determined their mission and services had expanded beyond rescuing.
We reintroduced them to the community and the people served as Fresno Mission, a center to rescue, restore and empower their neighbors, building communities of transformation.
Fresno Mission’s UX Design is clear, concise, and straightforward. Its mission statement, value proposition, and tagline breakdown can be found in an accessible location, making it clear to all community members what goals Fresno Mission aims to accomplish. If a user wants further information pertaining to the organization, they can easily find out how to get involved and donate funds.
The redesign was thorough and well done. It was helpful to us even beyond the branding experience. To give you an idea of how successful it was when Butler Branding produced their results, all 15 people agreed and liked the same logo, which I don’t think has happened in the history of logo making!
